IDEA’s Respirometers have been developed with the idea to create configuratons for parallel testing (1 to 24 parallel units) needs in the enviroment, wastewater, biogas, biofuel, bioplastic, fermentations, microalgae applications.

Specific Devices/Optional features:

- portable versions for O2 and CO2 respirometers (a laptop is used to power and control the device).

- optional automatic testing for O2 respirometer (1 point periodic testing, or up to 6 different samples tested in series)

The Manometric Respirometer is a classical manometric system for aerobic processes (BOD5, ISO 5815-2, OECD 301F, SM 5210 D), aerobic soil respiration (ISO 16072) and anaerobic/anoxic processes. Versions for bioplastic biodegradability studies are also available both in aerobic (ISO 14851 - aerobic biodegradation of plastic materials in an aqueous system, ISO 17556 - ultimate aerobic biodegradation of plastic materials in soil, ISO 18830 - aerobic biodegradation of non-floating plastic materials in a seawater/sandy sediment interface, ISO 23977-2 - aerobic biodegradation of plastic materials exposed to seawater) and anaerobic conditions (ISO 14853 - anaerobic biodegradation of plastic materials in an aqueous system, ISO 13975 - anaerobic biodegradation of plastic materials in controlled slurry digestion systems).
